Overview History

The first formative meetings of the club that has become IPMS First Coast were help at the Orange Park Library in the Fall of 1999, but the origins of the club go back decades.

Gil Gregg and Tracy Mann, who were both active duty Navy airmen, were notable members of IPMS Jacksonville in the 80's and early 90's when the club help its meetings at the Arlington Fire Station then later "The Kit Bunker" on Spring Park Road. Several other members of the club at that time also had Navy ties through active duty or civil service experience at our local military bases. IPMS Jacksonville's club logo during this period was an F-18 flying over an aircraft carrier, and before that it was an A-7, so that shows how far back the "Navy connection" goes.
